NPH celebrated scooping an award at the Chartered Institute of Procurement Supply Management Awards on 13 September 2017.

NPH's Procurement Team were named winner of the Best Procurement Consultancy Project for their work with construction consultancy firm Stradia to appoint a single contractor to our Major Works Programme.

In 2016, tenants of Northampton Partnership Homes, staff from NPH and Stadia worked together to appoint a single contractor for NPH’s major works programme. Keepmoat Regeneration, who were the successful contractor appointed, are now working with NPH on future Planned Investment works in Northampton.

As well as value for money and long term quality of performance, the tender included a host of social value benefits focussing on how the successful contractor would provide social opportunities for NPH’s residents and invest in the local community. This included apprenticeships, new jobs and training opportunities.

The details of the award stated:

“As this was a new way of working for the organisation, it was considered prudent to appoint a consultant. The Partnership, based on full open-book accounting with clear cost visibility, was designed to deliver best value, cost savings and improved performance throughout the potential 10 years contract duration”

The judges described the partnership with residents and consultancy firm Stradia as “an extremely well defined project which has delivered all it set out to do and more”.
