Impressive improvement plans have now been submitted by NPH to Northampton Borough Council, which demonstrate our commitment to regeneration in Spring Boroughs as well as the provision of much needed new build housing in Northampton. The proposed development includes new build accommodation for 25 families, 9 new one bedroom apartments, a ground floor extension to St Katherine’s Court and a replacement shop in Little Cross Street. It is also intended that every single block of flats will benefit from some form of investment, along with improvements to outdoor space.
The development programme spanning two years is part of a whole estate regeneration project that aims to put residents first.
Mike Kay, NPH chief executive said of the plans:

The submission of these planning applications is the culmination of extensive consultation and partnership with the Spring Boroughs community. NPH was keen to capture the views of as many residents as possible. A team of staff visited homes door by door to find out what was important to the whole community. They also held consultation sessions at the local primary school and worked with local residents association Friends of the Castle and Northants Police to make sure the Neighbourhood plan and the rich heritage of Spring Boroughs were fully considered.
