Volunteers have been applying the finishing touches to Leicester Street's Community Garden Project.

Back in October 2015, volunteers from Ricoh UK and the Hope Centre combined with our Community Development Team to re-invigorate the community space and garden for residents in and around Leicester Street.

This week, volunteers from all three organisations combined again to develop the space further and apply the finishing touches to a community garden that is now ready to be enjoyed by residents over the summer months. As well as new bedding plants, volunteers have worked hard to add raised beds, a herb station, and a greenhouse where residents will have the opportunity to grow their own plants.

Our thanks go to all the generous volunteers involved from Ricoh and the Hope Centre, as well as the Leicester Street Knit & Natter Group. The garden looks and feels great and is now an area that the community can use to grow produce, socialise and hold events.
