National Hate Crime Awareness Week

It's National Hate Crime Awareness Week (NHCAW) 14 October to 21 October.

Run by Stop Hate UK - the national charity supporting people affected by Hate Crime, NHCAW aims to raise awareness of the impact of Hate Crime.

A hate crime incident is motivated by prejudice or hate. This could be based on a person's:

  • Race
  • Colour
  • Ethnic origin and nationality
  • Religion, faith and belief
  • Sexual orientation
  • Disability and learning difficulty
  • Gender identity
  • Physical appearance
  • or any combination of the above.
