We welcomed tenants and partners to Northampton Partnership Homes’ 2nd Anniversary event and Tenants Conference on 12 January 2017.

The event looked back over some of our achievements of 2016 and reflected on plans ahead for 2017.

Over the course of 2016:

  • NPH has invested around £32 million refurbishing the outside and inside of Northampton council homes. Along the way, we’ve achieved a 100% compliance rate with our Gas and Fire Risk Assessments.
  • We’ve reviewed our Asset Management Strategy which looks at how we maintain properties, refurbish them and invest in homes for the future.
  • We’ve agreed a ten year investment plan with Community Regeneration Specialist Keepmoat.
  • We’ve also started to look ahead at the future of older persons housing. We’re currently renovating Eleonore House and creating more homes for older people on the former site of Lakeview Care Home.
  • We’re doing more to help our leaseholders, introducing forums and surgeries to make sure leaseholders have a say on how their services are run.

At the event we also heard from the leader of Northampton Borough Council, Cllr Jonathan Nunn who spoke about the need to respond to the demand for new housing in Northampton.

We’re excited about the work we have ongoing for 2017, including the redevelopment of homes and neighbourhoods in Spring Boroughs. To keep up to date on all our investment plans ahead visit our Planned Works page or follow us on twitter @NPH_news for regular updates.

It’s not all about the headlines in NPH, we have a dedicated housing team who offer support and help to our tenants and leaseholders. If you want to find out more about what we do click here.
