Appeal a decision on your housing application

How to Appeal

If you've received a decision on your housing application that you don't agree with, you can appeal this.

Why appeal?

The most common reasons why you may wish to appeal include:

  • you were not accepted on to the housing register
  • you think your banding priority should be higher
  • you have been removed from the housing register
  • you need special accommodation requirements.

How to appeal

Send your appeal to NPH within 21 days of the decision made.

In your appeal make sure you provide evidence of how you meet Northampton Borough Council's Allocation Policy eligibility criteria. This document explains how we allocate housing and what situations are considered for the housing register.
