Northampton Partnership Homes staff took part in an Office Olympics fundraiser this autumn raising over £400 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice. The events paid tribute to a former colleague who passed away after spending their final days at the Hospice.

Self-titled the NPH Memorial Olympics, staff were challenged to a series of light hearted games during their lunch breaks, designed so that everyone could get involved.

The “Olympic” events included:

  • Bean bag in a Bucket
  • Penny against the wall
  • Plant pot and marbles
  • General Knowledge Quiz
  • Pin the tail on the donkey
  • Bat the Rat
  • Crossbow Challenge
  • Coin in a Fish Tank

Each event was awarded Gold, Silver and Bronze. The real winner was Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

Our chief executive, Mike Kay explained: “Staff work hard in NPH to provide a good housing service, and it’s important that we encourage them to support local charities too. They’ve been fundraising all year with charitable events organised in their own time. Credit to everyone who organised the Office Olympics. It’s been really tough to lose a colleague and our thoughts are with her family. This fundraiser was a fitting tribute, she would have loved it.”

Chelsea Galpin, corporate fundraiser at Cynthia Spencer Hospice said: “Many thanks to NPH for your ongoing support of our Hospice. Our vital services are only made possible by the generosity of our local community who currently provide 30p of every £1 we spend on care”.
