Engagement Café gets great feedback from residents
Our August Engagement Café was held at the Grosvenor Centre and was very well attended by residents, thank you to everybody who came along. NPH staff members were there to chat to residents about all of their queries, residents can come along to ask us anything!
There was a great atmosphere at the event and over fifty residents came along to have a cup of tea or get a query answered. There were lots of reasons given for coming along that included: registering new repairs, enquiries about mutual exchanges, queries relating to rent and benefits, as well as customers asking about what support is available to them should they need assistance.
We spoke to some of the residents who came along to see if they liked the engagement café format and here are a couple of the comments.
Joe came to talk about a mutual exchange and a repair to his existing property. He said:
“I’ve chatted to Jacqui about a mutual exchange and she was incredibly helpful, she’s given me and my partner some great advice. It’s great to chat face to face and not on the phone. We’d like to get a bigger place because we are moving in together so are considering a mutual exchange. We hope to get a home with a garden because I love gardening and find it helps my mental health. I’m taking information away with me and I’ll be back in touch to start the process.
I like this event – it’s very convenient that the teams are all in one place so I’ve spoken about Mutual Exchange and also spoken to Tracey about a repair to my existing property. Thanks again!”
Peter came along to talk about changing properties, it was his first time at our Engagement Café. He said:
“It’s been very useful and I’m glad I came along, everyone has been polite and helpful.
I’ve been talking to the team about changing my property to a warden-controlled property. I’m getting older and have just retired so am trying to get ahead of any potential health issues for my own peace of mind. It’s nice to have the option to sort this out in person.”
Our next Engagement Café will be held in the Grosvenor Centre on the 6th November and we hope to see you there. In the meantime there are lots of different ways you can meet with us face to face including drop in sessions and community cafes. Our resident events calendar will show you all the events near you. You are welcome to come along.
