What we do
We provide great homes, neighbourhoods and services with the people of West Northamptonshire.
We work hard to create homes and neighbourhoods that our tenants want to live in and, with their ongoing influence, we strive to provide great services to deliver what our customers need to thrive.
To do this, we employ over 250 members of staff dedicated to delivering the following services:
- Repairs and maintenance
- Housing management
- Dealing with reports of anti-social behaviour
- Tenancy support
- Resident involvement
- Ecton Lane Park traveller site
NPH has its own board which is there to manage company strategy, to scrutinise performance and risk management, and constructively challenge what we do. You can find out more about our Board members and the Executive team below.
How we are governed
NPH has its own board which is there to manage company strategy, to scrutinise performance and risk management, and constructively challenge what we do. Our board members work closely with our executive management team to ensure that we meet our company purpose and objectives.
The NPH Board comprises of four independent board members, four tenant board members and four Council nominated board members. This split ensures that different stakeholder viewpoints are heard; board decisions are always decided by a majority vote to ensure fairness. NPH complies with the National Federation of Housing code of governance as this is considered to be best practice.
Board members have the strategic overview of NPH, whilst the operational management (how we are run every day) sits with the Executive Management Team (EMT).
Board members serve for a 3-year term, up to a maximum of 6 years and this rotation means that the board stays fresh with current skillsets and knowledge within the board. When vacancies arise for independent and tenant board members a full recruitment process is carried out to get the right levels of skills to provide the scrutiny, challenge and support needed for the role.
Board meeting minutes are always published on our Publication Scheme page (under ‘How we make decisions’).
